Terms of Agreement
CLASS TUITION PAYMENTS
All payments are non-refundable. Students are responsible for making payments on time. Class tuition can be paid online or by sending a check to the address listed on the payment page, which you will be directed to upon filling out this registration form. Instructors are not authorized to accept payments. There is a $25 charge for all returned checks. If the class balance is not received by the first day of class, the student will be charged extra $25.
DROPPING A CLASS
A student may need to drop a class if they realize the rest of the term cannot be attended. (Not attending class is NOT the same as dropping a class.) Should a student need to drop a class, a credit will be issued to the student's school account for any remaining classes (minus the non-refunable, non-transferable $20 deposit.) The credit is valid for one year. **Students must notify the school office directly before the third class in order to drop a class session.**
LIABILITY RELEASE
Please be aware that in registering for any of our programs you will be waiving and releasing all claims for injuries or damages you may sustain through participation in this program.
AUDITING, DROP-INS & GUESTS
In order to create classes that are uninhibited and encourage self-growth, auditing, drop-ins and guests are not allowed, unless the class is specifically labeled as such.
INSTRUCTORS
All IN instructors are qualified to teach the Improv Nashville method. They love what they are doing and are willing to share their experiences with our students. Students are not guaranteed a particular instructor for any specific term.
ATTENDANCE
Attendance is very important. Missing 2 or more classes means too much of the syllabus has been missed for the instructor to advance the student. We do not offer make up classes. Full attendance in class is not a guarantee of advancement or invitation to the IN performance companies.
ADVANCING
Advancement to the next level is at the discretion of the instructor. At the end of each level, the instructor will recommend that the student advance to the next level, repeat the last level or be dismissed from the school. The final conference, which determines whether a student advances or repeats, cannot be given if a student has not paid the cash balance.
PERFORMING GROUPS
Only Improv Nashville school graduates and/or candidates selected from our auditions may be in our performing groups. At the end of Level IV, students are reviewed by the Improv Nashville company members and may be invited to join IN's Troupe 93 Company. From IN's Troupe 93 Company, students may be asked to join our Mainstage company, Improv Nashville.
SCHOOL HARRASSMENT POLICY
During the creative process in a class environment, students may be exposed to activities and dialogue that could be considered offensive. Instructors and students should make every effort to limit such material in the classroom and on stage. If there is a complaint about any type of harassment or class material, the matter should immediately be discussed with Improv Nashville's Management at 615-418-0905 or classes@improvnashville.com.
